    Default Tivo to Treo

Tivo To Go saves as a .tivo file.

What's the best FREE process to get programs onto my memory card.

What FREE programs can I use to convert the .tivo file to a good quality .wmv file that I can watch on my treo.

The best thing i just got is a SlingBox. It conects to your home box and you can watch live tv right on your phone. This is on my old ppc-6700 but it looks the same on the Treo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33mqDPKVX0Q

    That's pretty awesome.

But I don't have unlimited internet package.
It's an extra expense I not NEED right now.

    that's why I need a conversion program.

    Someyoungman,

Whats your upload speed on your home interconnection for your sling box to send the data to your phone? I'm wondering if mine is fast enough.

    My bad...

I would suggest searching sourceforge, a community of software projects by everyday people like you and I. It may take some time, but you can reach them here. Sorry, Ionly have experience in audio conversion so far. I am hoping to get the slingbox this week.

or/and you could do a google-yahoo search for the term "Tivo hacks" and see what info comes back.

ya you need to have the data plan to use the sling box. In the video i had 2 or 3 bars. If you have atlest one it works great. Its also great if you have a tivo box casue you can watch all your recorded programs. The sling box is the best but you have to have unlimited data.

You need two pieces of software. Directshowdump, and TMPGEnc. One converts .tivo files to usable MPEG's, the other shrinks them down to fit on a storage card. I then use Pocket TV to watch them, which is also free.
