Tranfering Contacts - Treo Forums

I tried doing a search but can't seem to find the answer.

I just got my Treo yesterday and synced with my Computer. My contacts were transfered but it only transfered some. The ones that are in folders under contacts were not transferred. I found that I was able transfer other files,etc. from outlook but not under contacts. This just seems odd that I wouldn't be able to do it.

How are you validating that the contacts are all there? I noticed that the 700w lists contacts either by name or company. If you have it search for name and you type a company but don't have a first and last name filled in for that contact, it will not come up.

On my PC I have 3 seperate folders set up. Business Contacts, Another Business Contacts and Vendor. Only the contacts set up in the root folder have transferred and not the sub folders. I have over 1000 contacts in the folders and do not want to mix them with others using categories. If I did it would take me hours to re-learn to not use folders and not categories. Plus adding categories to contacts is very time consuming since I can list them and edit them like an Excel spreadsheet would do. I could export/import but the the views are screwed up when importing so it doesn't save me any time.
