Traveling To Israel... Help With Voltage Converter?
I understand that I cannot use one of the cheap converters that are used for blow dryers and such. I assume that I need a (lightweight) voltage converter designed for continuous use? I have a Treo 700w and will have a few other electrical items (compact camera battery charger, Dell 700m Laptop, etc.). Anyone have some experience and suggestions how to approach this? Wattage? Brand and model?

Well whats the voltage in Israel? If its 220v like Europe then you will need an industrial voltage converter. I have a two socket converter(big, gray and bulky) that I kept when I was stationed in Germany from my military days. It worked just fine for my playstation, laptops and cell phones. My suggestion is to get one with a removable fuse (usually screws out in the front) that way if there is a surge, it will blow the fuse and not your equipment. I have never burnt or blown any of my equipment in the 3 years I was stationed overseas. I even took it to combat in Afghanistan with me and used it at Khandahar Int. Airport. You may be able to find one at Military surplus stores or Pawn shops around military bases.
IT PUTS THE LOTION ON ITS SKIN OR IT GETS THE HOSE!!!!!!!!
