    There are tons of discussions about the dates for both the 700p and 700w intro dates at Sprint on other sites - The latest says May-June for the P (POS) version and July for the W. We do know that Verizon had a 6 month exclusive on the W and it came out on January 16. Do that math and that would be July for Sprint.

    As a longtime Sprint customer, I have found this site very useful: sprintusers.com

    I was kicking around in a Sprint store the other day, looking to leave Cingular, and the girl I was talking with said that without a doubt, the 700w will be there. She said that she has been trying to research the arrival date for some of her other customers but has been unable to find a definite date. She didn't know anything about the 700p.

    The "p" is Palm OS and the "w" in Microsoft Windows Mobile OS. So, if you are looking for Windows "comfort", that is the one you want. You can read about the "w" version in the forum here. The "p" will be more like an improved Treo 650. Personally, I wanted the Palm OS as there is a lot of flexibility with that platform. But I am sure that Windoz will take over the handheld market in a few years.

    Hollywood = vaporware for now.

    well, I think its pretty much a given that Sprint will get the 700w, its just a matter of when. The 700p is pretty much still a rumour. There's been no official announcement of its existence.

    Smile I broke down and changed service providers

    Well, I couldn't stant it...I want with Verizon and got the 700w....it's really different in screen appearance from the 650...I'm sure I'll get use to it. It seems smaller too...maybe just me though
    Will keep you posted as to the outcome...I have 15 days to try Verizon and see if I get good enough coverage. Wish me luck
