Default Treo 700 question

I am a new member to the site and have a question for all... I am looking at buying the treo 700 or the 650. I have no experiance with palm based programs but do have some with MS. I am currantly using an HP pda with MS. After reading review after review i cant decide witch one to consider...Any suggestions??????????????????

If you are familiar with Windows Mobile, then I'd suggest the 700w. There are advantages to both, but your familiarity with Windows makes me thing that's the best device for you.

What are your primary uses for the phone? Also, do you have a preferred carrier? These should also weigh on your decision.

Go with your comfort zone, learning Palm OS may not be all that good en experience. Granted I hear the 650 is a tad more stable than our 700's are right now but it will get better over time. The 650 does have a higher rez screen if that matters to you, plus having owned a PPC before you may find some applications (games etc.) are not desigend with this odd screen size in mind so they look weird or don't work.

I will be using the phone for both work and personal use, I will be using Verizon for my carrier, that is who i am with now. Besides, i get a discount on the phone and my service through my work.

The 700w is probably your best bet. You'll get super fast email/web access through EVDO, access to Office apps and the familiarity of Windows Mobile.

Good luck.

Just make sure you're in Verizon's EVDO area, I'm not and may never be so access is just OK. Had the opportunity to go to New Jersey last week and EVDO is alive and well there, in a word WOW
