    Question Treo 700 w/Verizon - WiFi???

I have read elsewhere that the Treo 700w with Verizon won't have WiFi capabilities and that your only access option will be Verizon's EVDO National Broadband service. Is this true or just a nasty rumor?

I thought that I had found the perfect Corporate solution for our companies mobile workers to gain access to our Exchange 2003 email, but I really don't like not having the WiFi option.

Only time will tell, but I think I read that it will support those SD Wi-Fi cards.
I've not kept up with it much to be honest.

Jmtyra is correct, it will have support for a Wi-Fi SDIO card. It was shown in a picture either from when it was announced or when pictures were leaked.

The nasty rumor is that VWZ disables the phone service when you have the wifi card in there. That my friends, is nasty... and the reason Cingular and I stay as great friends.

Verizon disabled the WiFi when the phone is working on the I730 but the Treo 700w does have WiFi built in so its unknown until it launches if that will the case. Since the WiFi is not a built in radio they may not have the access or option to do that, but no one really knows.
