Treo 700w
Anyone heard when the GSM version of the Treo 700w will be available?
-
I watched the conference online. I had a few connection losses but I can say I covered the majority. Unless, a question asked one of those time, I did not hear neither a question nor comments from the three CEO about the GSM version of WM. Having said that I think it is likely to come out sometime during 2006! What a narrow prediction.
It is said that many advancements will follow on Treos but as of today and for a while, it looks like current GSM version of 650 is still the king despite today's announcements.

700 with WM is a CDMA phone. I am sure Windows version will be available for GSM ones later on but timing for that has not been mentioned (unless it was during a few times my connection lost) I am expecting more answers for future timelines of related versions or uses during this two days conference / show in SF this week. I would say keep checking back the news on this web site.

Missing Sync for Windows Mobile is the answer for Mac users

I don't think they are abandoning Mac users. This annoucement is an addition to their product line. There will still be Palm OS based Treo's. Also, if you wanted to", you could sync the new Treo with your Mac using Missing Sync for Windows Mobile.

Spoke too soon
..this is from the Mark/Space website...
Windows Mobile 5.0 devices are NOT currently supported; they will be supported with a free update.
By the time we see the new Treo, I'd bet Mark/Space supports it.

questions on video software & thanks
Chris, as always thanks for putting my MAC/ APPLE Loving mind at ease. My treo 650 & I will sleep well tonight knowing PALM will not be leaving us in the dust.
By the way i have Missing Sync ( MARKSPACE), and I LOVE IT,..works great.
oh, and I read another forum note on the LIFEDRIVE, and its large screen. I agree,..it wold be a dream to see a large screen like that on our treo's. But not sure how they would do it unless it was made to have one of these keyboards that slides away into it's own compartment.
One more thing,..??...Has anyone used a program for treo 650 ( mac friendly) that would allow me to convert my imovie or Quick Time movie from my desk top so it could play on my Treo 650? I would load it through a memory card ( I guess). I also have Missying Sync (but I don't know if that would work or not).
I noticed a program for Treo, "Teal Movie for Palm"
http://www.everythingtreo.com/forum/...ead.php?t=2434
is this a mac friendly program? Has anyone tried it? Will it convert my imovie or Quick Time movie so it will play on my treo. I have a sample Art & photography Portfolio of my work made in imovie. And I would love to show it on my treo when out.
Also there is the program, "Kinoma"http://www.kinoma.com/home.html
Chris, you told me of this one. I still have not tried it. Has anyone else? Mac friendly?
Thanks as always to everyone for any feed back
Tiffany
