Default Treo 700w Automatic Shutdown???

Just wanted to know if anyone else has this problem. Sometimes my phone just turns off automatically and to turn it back on I have to take out the battery and put it back in. Does anyone know if it's an option I checked off or not?

Not an option I'm aware of... lol. Treos are always on, or (running) per say. The phone feature is capable of being turned off. But the main Palm features are always running. I'd return it if possible.... Or get it serviced, and replaced if its under a service or replacement plan.

Just a quick FYI, by taking the battery out and replacing it to turn it on, your essentially doing a Soft Reset. You should not have to do that to turn it on.

I have the same issue! I also have Verizon. My phone locks up and it's impossible to do anything with the device besides do a soft reset. I'm not exagerating when I say that I do that at least twice a day! I've taken it in, and they always blame it on a lack of memory, but I've moved every program to my SD card, and it does the same. Idk whether it's a problem with Verizon, or a problem with the phone, but I'm putting my money on Verizon. Your best bet is to take your phone in and not leave til they give you a replacement. I've had mine close to a year, so I'm definately going before warranty runs out!!

My phone only does that every so often like once every few days, but yeah I would love to get a replacement, but my warranty has already ran out already, guess I'm going to have to wait it out for something new.
