Default Treo 700w vs 700p -- should I hold out for the 'p'?

What will be the differences between the 700w and the 700p (besides the price), and would I really need a 'p' if all I'm doing is trading currencies online or doing other internet-based tasks?

I understand that they are similar. but the 700P is a palm based treo and the 700W is a windows based. If you like Palm OS than the 700P is the one for you. Also if you use Macs then th 700P is the better one. If you use windows a work or home I personally like the winows addition. Thats my opinion.

Post 700p vs w Models

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately my needs go deeper at this point. You are correct that the hardware is "similar." When possible I use all things WIN except for the T650 which has crashed/burned/died. I am currently on my THIRD NEW ONE which definately stinks. Money, PC-OS or service providers are not the major issues. As I am on #3 since I purchased my first smartphone last August, the main issue is which one will be more stable (hardware combined with the device OS), has the most features and ease of use. After reading Chris's review on the "w" and PM's from him as well, the "p" beats the "w" for ease of use and the stability of the Palm OS. He states: "...the 700w is revolutionary while the 700p is evolutionary..." So far it appears that the "p" MIGHT be the answer to my woes. I do like the initial look and feel of the "w" OS, however, it might be prudent to stick with a proven system at this point. Any other insight or assistance in this matter would be helpful from all. This decision has to be made today or loose the FREE upgrade offer from my service provider and/or Palm which has been authorized due to the malfunctions of the 650. I have had the worst luck with this device than anything I have ever been a part of. Go figure. But as usual, if it's going to happen to anyone, it will happen to me. Still loving all things TREO and the best tool of all, EverythingTreo.com

Respectfully submitted.
