Default Treo 700w with ACT!

Is there a way to synch Treo 700w (with Microsoft Mobile as the OS) to my ACT! database? I would like to get my first Treo but need it to link up with my Act database. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Surely someone must still use Act! and have a new 700W?

Does Act have a Windows Mobile 5 module? If so, then I would think it would be fine.

Well I just got my Treo 700 and had the same problem.

Here's what I found out: Act for PocketPC won't work, it's designed for CE. It worked fine with my Ipaq 2210, but the 700w wouldn't work with it.

CompanionLink
This program Might work: http://www.companionlink.com/download.htm

They say it works with the 700w, but I couldn't get it to function with mine. Not only that, but it did something odd to the screen that even a hard reset won't fix. The top and bottom lines now fade to black in the center, giving it a "curved" look. It's a software issue, the screen works fine during a reboot, but as soon as you get to the today screen the "curve" is back. (Anyone know how to fix this?!?)

ACT-Outlook Synchronizer
This program DOES work, and won't cause any problems with your Treo 700w since it syncs Act! with Outlook. It does that on your desktop, with no software changes needed on the 700w at all, since as far as it's concerned it's syncing with Outlook.

Works fine, tons of options, manages changes and deletions quite well. All in all a great program. It should be too, since they want $97.50 for it! (That's at half off no less!)

The good news is that they have a trial version you can download and experiment with. I'm quite happy with it, except for the price...

After some more research, I'm beginning to suspect it's always been like that, since even a hard reset doesn't cure the issue. Now the question is whether it's just my phone or if all of them are the same and maybe I just am too picky. (That's what happens when you work in quality control...)

Anyone care to take a close look at the screen on your 700? Put the edge of a piece of paper on the top and bottom of the screen in the today screen and see if it's truly straight. On mine the sides are, but top and bottom have a definite curve to them.
