Moto700 does work, I have used mine for a month now with no sound problems. It does do the on off thing though. If you soft reset you have to turn bluetooth back on also

I have had a Plantronics 510 multipoint 1.2 bluetooth for over a year and it worked flawlessly on a Treo 650, Blackberry 7290 & Blackberry Pearl but with the 700wx, it's got nasty static. I'm not sure if the unit is just "tired" so I am going to replace it with another 510 unit. I tried a Samsung 2.0 bluetooth headset and it worked much better - too bad it was one of those ear canal types.

If you can, get a 2.0 bluetooth headset, while you won't get all the perks with your treo as none of them are 2.0 bluetooth devices (at least my 700wx isn't), the quality will be better.

Have you tried the Jabra JX10 - I hear it's an excellent headset.

I have not tried, you can open it and hit a button to turn the bluetooth on and transfer the call to the h700
