    Default treo or blackberry

I know I am on a treo type site but I am desperately trying to make the right decision about a treo or a blackberry. I have a PDA and get tired of it and the phone. I would love to have both but I also like how quick I can make a call. After using the treo in the verizon store for ten minutes I swore the thing off. I look at the Blackberry and it seems so easy with the wheel. I really like how easy it is to operate. I know I am new to the treo but does it get easier? What are the cons of the 700W. Do you have to reset often. Most important I need to have a good phone. Which one is better. Thanks,

    Brad

As a BB convert, I think I'll chime in here. Here's my experience in both worlds....

BlackBerry - If you're looking for nothing more than your basic phone and email applications, the BB does its job quite nicely. If push email is an absolute MUST HAVE, then for now the BB is honestly your best bet, as the Treo won't have an update for push email for a little while - possibly next month. I had a bad experience with the call quality (incoming sound and outgoing voice quality) with my 7100 series BB. That improved slightly with the 7230. If you're like most of us on this board, you'll want to expand the BB's basic functionality...that's where it falls short.

Treo - Does the phone well (loud and great quality), handles email quite well, but most of all allows for lots of expansion....SD card slot, many quality programs, high-speed EVDO internet (the new BB from Cingular uses their Edge network I believe...if I'm not mistaken though, EVDO > Edge), wi-fi (add-in required)...the list goes on.

As far as the navigation goes, the BB does a pretty good job with the thumbwheel, but once you get used to the navigation button and touch screen on the Treo, you'll never go back.

Personally, I rarely ever reset my device...and I think when I've had to, it was because of 3rd party software that was a little buggy.
