My take is for once Verizon, Palm and MS are hedging their bets with the "early, early 2006" line. While Verizon is known for testing their phones until the point of them being too late (and yes crippling BT) they will be early or on time with this one. Early in my view is late December to early January, on time is February window.
Why? Its all about market share. They have a six monthe exclusive and VzW won't waste a week or month of that window. If they have 6 months, they want every possible day of it to pull in the corp customers and the non corp types (like me) who have either left VzW, considering it or never were on them but would switch to them.
The Treo is the form factor I wanted but for me the PoS lagged behind and SprintNextel was not my choice for a carrier. My hope is early January with a full release to all customers and no 2 week exclusive for corp customers, wait I will be using my companies corp rept so yeah exclusive me baby. I am moving 3 lines back so I hope he can give me some general idea as to a release date so I can plan my move. |
