Unable to login to AIM from handheld device

I am using a Treo 700 wx with software version 1.22. I downloaded a number of applications that will allow me to chat with my friends on my mobile device. I can login to Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and ICQ. The problem is I cannot login to AIM. The chat application keeps telling me that my id or password is incorrect. Yet I will using the same login information on my desktop AIM and I can login successfully.

Has any experienced the above problem and if so how did you resolve it.

Make sure that when you are entering your password that it's not capitalizing the very first letter because factory settings will capitalize every first letting in any program... then let me know what happens

I have already done that and still does nto work. I even tried using Trillian on my desktop to login to AIM and that fails. I can login to very other chat program (yahoo, etc) but can't login to AIM when use any other chap program other than AIM. This is horrible.

So you're not able to log into AIM on any computer or phone at all?

Just on the phone. I can login successfully on the desktop.

Have you called tech support for Verizon, or whomever you have, and told them about the problem?
