Unkown Icon on screen - Treo Forums

I recently had an icon show up on my screen, and I do not know what it is, and the user guide does not show it. It is in the "Title Bar and Status Information" line on the screen. It is one space to the left of the GPS icon, and looks like a large phone or kind of like a fax machine. When I try to click on it with the stylus, it does not say anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is it a voice or text message or picture mail message?

There are a couple of reasons I would like to get rid of it, one is I do not like things showing up on my screen with atleast me un-knowingly causing it, or not. Second, I have been having some random problems where I dail out and I can hear them, but they cannot hear me, and I was wondering if that was the cause or if it was related.

I guess the question is how do I get rid of it.

If it is a message icon, when you read or clear it should go away. Sometimes it does not. On the main screen, menu, options, phone prefs it should have an clear icon button. That is if it is a message icon.

Thanks to all for your respnses. I found the ICON. Apparently one of my kids was playing around with my phone and got into the phone preferences and turned on the TTY function and that puts that little TTY phone ICON on the screen.
