I just checked and most of my Pink Floyd tracks run between 10mb and 20mb! it looks like they average 11 meg for 5 minutes worth of music... I'm using the Real Player software that came with the phone... OK, it IS just a 650 and I am just gathering info over here to guide a possible upgrade to either the 700w or 700p (I'm on Sprint).
To tell the truth, I was surprised when I could only get 3 to 4 cd's on a 512mb SD card!
Any thoughts?

You should check and see what bitrate your files are encoded at. The higher the bitrate the more space it'll take up.
Here is a Link to a Cool
mp3 tool that tells you how many days, hours, minutes, seconds, and albums you can fit on any size media you specify.
For instance, with your 512mb SD card you should be able to do the following:
MP3's recorded @ 128kbps
0 days, 9 hours, 19 minutes, 14 seconds
(559 minutes total)
12 albums (at an estimated 45 minutes per album)
MP3's recorded @ 160kbps
0 days, 7 hours, 27 minutes, 23 seconds
(447 minutes total)
9 albums (at an estimated 45 minutes per album)
MP3's recorded @ 192kbps
0 days, 6 hours, 12 minutes, 49 seconds
(372 minutes total)
8 albums (at an estimated 45 minutes per album)
All the bitrates above are CD quality so you shouldn't see a lost in audio quality, if so it should be minor.
I currently have a 512mb SD card in my 700w with about 30 songs and it takes up about 135 megs. All songs are @ various bitrates and lengths. Hope that helps.
I'm in GA as well BTW, actually in Marietta @ the moment.
