Verizon Treo 700w 1.22 Updater - Treo Forums

Downloaded this and installed it. Looks GREAT so far.

I've got Vista, and have turned on the Modem application on the Treo. Vista shows it as a Modem.

When I try to establish a DUN connection, like is listed as a new feature, I get bad username/pass... using phonenum@vzw3g.com, and vzw for the password... Also tried blanks.

Any thoughts?

After spending 6 hours for a 30 min. update now some of my appointments are 1 day off. They are OK in MS Office but they will not sync to my Treo.???? What gives?

Call Verizon support. I had them change/set the password for me.

I just completed the 1.22 ROM update for Verizon on my Treo 700W. It took 33 min 20 secs. I had to correct the Time Zone from Pacific to Eastern. I had to manually remove 2 Palm install programs. Other than these 2 little glitches, I had no problems. Everything appears to work correctly. No problems for me.

OK everyone, quick follow up...

How have things been working? For me, my phone has gone from "OK, usable" to "not reliable". I have performed a couple of Remote Wipes from Exchange, as well as a couple of Hard Resets. Nothing helps.

The problem is that my Data connection will seem to just die. It will try/try/try/try to connect, but just can't. ActiveSync/IE can't connect b/c there's no valid connection. Turning the phone off, then back on (ising the red power button) seems to reset the data connection enough that it will then work perfectly.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Also, when I called Verizon about the updated Dialup Network, they said that they wouldn't support it at all unless I purchased "tethering", so I didn't do anything with that.

PDANet works fine for me, just not native to Vista...

I just did my upgrade on the ROM this morning and it took about 30 minutes and so far everyhting is working fine. No time zone issues, Email seems to be working except our comany's EXchange server is down at the moment

. My 2 personal E-Mail accounts are working just fine. My calendar items still seem to be there form the exchange server.

I've spent a good 4 hours this morning trying to run the updater on my wx and it simply won't update. The first try was my fault...forgot to shut down the sleep mode on my laptop...after that I tried another 3 times to run it and no go..the last time was from my desktop not laptop and I tried a different ActiveSync version...it says it has completed and updated successfully but when I check the version after a soft boot its still 1.20

2nd try from laptop lost the usb connection with Active Sync in the middle, 3rd try from laptop seemed to run ok but wasn't updated, 4th try from desktop seemed to run ok but didn't update

I went to the vz support and they just say do a hard reboot but I'm not really thrilled about loading all my software again! I've got plenty of options backup wise in terms of contacts and calendar..just don't really like the hassle of reloading programs...

Anyone got any suggestions?

Actually....never mind...I just went on the Palm forums and have decided not to install 1.22 until the word is MUCH better about it's installing without wiping out the speakers and everything else. I figured it's been out for awhile...should be working by now...doesn't look that way. You guys on here that got it working ok are LUCKY!
