What video file formats can be played on a 700w with the software as supplied by the factory? Will it play any file that WMP will play on the desktop? I don't want to install a third party application.

How long can the battery be expected to last while playing back a TV show?

Is there a cite to download TV shows (news and such) for free directly to the Treo?

The only file format I got to open successfully in Windows Media Player was a *.wmv. I tried various formats of *.avi and could only get the audio to come through. There is a free app you can download called PocketTv that will open *.mpeg or *.mpg but it's real picky. The encoder I use to re-encode video file formats is from ImTOO (www.imtoo.com). I really like this application, there are many different things you can do with this app. such as video resizing, audio quality changes, and converting to many different formats. Let me know if you theres anything else.

Or you can use the TCPMP which plays any file...and u can download it free thru www.ppcfreewarez.com TCPMP really rocks!!!

iis there any advantage of using other formats than wmv. i use dvd pocket studio to rip dvd to wmv and play them on my phone with no problems are there any advantages to the other formats on a small screen?

Do you know a player that plays .3g2 files decently on a PC - the format the treo700w records in?
