OK - first do a search here for voice dial stuff. Read it all.

Then, read my lips, you CAN NOT voice dial a 700w via a blue tooth device - no matter what you pay.

With Voice dial 1.6 you MAY GET LUCKY and have it work by mistake (or something) but that is about it.

I'm sorry - didn't mean to be.
But do a search - there is plenty of discussion.

With Ver. 1.6 Voice Dial I have found the phone to be much more sensitive to voice commands; I have not run any test to see if it is picking up thru the phones mic or the bluetooth headset, but I have been able to VD with the unit on my belt (if it is reletively quiet).

The headset will activate voice dialing (same as pushing the button on the side) but the voicxe dial lady will not communicate thru the headset and, apparently, you can not communicate with the phone thru the headset.

Seems to me many of us feel we made a mistake buying this unit (700wx).
The more I look at the Q the more I wonder. So it doesn't have a touch screen. It has voice dialing, is compatible with dozens of bluetooth headsts
and the form factor is not bad either. I was able to get my Treo 600 to voice dial with a bluetooth adapter for crying out loud! Even heard assigned ring tones through the bluetooth head set. But they can't get the 700wx to do it.

dont feel bad, the Q is junk over easy

I have family at Sprint and there are two devices that have more problems than any, its the Razor and the Q. They say its only good for messenging, but for a PDA and a phone its horrible. Consumer reports rates the Treo as the #1 PDA phone on the market today. It also has the highest ratings from users

Not to turn this into a Q vs. Treo thread... but I actually bought a Q, (actually it was free) and kept it for almost the full 30 days that Verizon allows. I hate returning stuff.. but I returned the Q. Between it shutting off by itself, being buggy and being very tricky to use for anything but messaging, I couldn't take it. Once I brought it back and got the Treo it was a world of difference. They really are in two different categories. Don't know if all "smartphone" devices are like the Q, but I'd definitely say the Treo is worth the extra bucks and bulk.

That said... I am kinda bummed about no voice command via bluetooth.
