Voice Mail Icon

Thanks for any help in advance....

I have a 700Wx on Verizon. It has worked fine for the last month but yesterday it displayed the voice mail icon like normal when I missed a call. As dumb as this will sound my V\M icon will not turn off? I have deleted all voicemails old and new yet the Icon stays? I even tried a soft reset but it keeps displaying the icon? any ideas.... I even had 2 different people check my voice mail box in case i was missing something... and they found no new or old V\M either?

in your today screen settings do youy have voicemail as one of the entries on your today screen. That might be why is still shows up!

I had this happen and it drove me batty, until I worked with Verizon, it was them that was sending the V/M waiting indicator. They went in and removed my voice mail and then added it again and it cleared. Call them.

I will be calling verizon first thing in the AM. I will update the post tomorrow if i get it resolved.

Easy Fix, Go to MENU>SETTINGS> PHONE> SERVICES... click the CLEAR VOICEMAIL ICON. This should solve your problem. The neverending voicemail icon has always been a problem since the Treo 600 (Thats why they have the button)

Interesting, I don't have this on my phone, are you Sprint or Verizon? What version of the OS are you running?

I ahve that option on my sprint, I too have the stupid ICon showing 1 voicemail and cannot get rid of it.

again the voicemail is permanently assigned to option 1 and unless you hack the rom that can't be changed.
