voicemail icon

i have a treo 700w and my voice mail icon will not go away i have no messages and i also tried to dismiss it but it wont go away..can someone help get rid of the icon please thanks..

This also happened to me a couple of times.

From another phone, call yourself and leave a message or have someone call you and leave a message.

Call Voicemail and retrieve the call. Go through the voicemail options and use delete the new call. Use '*' to end the call.

Wait a few minutes and it should be reset.

tried that it didnt work can someone please help me..does anyone know how i get to phone preference on the treo 700w?i read theres an option in there i can delete it but i can find it please help.

i tried that also i did a soft reset a hard reset leving my self with an voicemail and delete it ending with the star nothing seem to work!! anyone else have a seggestion?

Try turning off the phone (hold the red phone button down until wireless turns off). Wait a minute and then turn it back on.

I had the same thing happen. I was on the phone with Verizon for about 2 hrs trying different things. I eventually had to hardreset the phone.
