Question Waking up the Treo...

Does anyone else have a hard time "waking" up the Treo? Sometimes when I hit the red phone key to turn the screen back on it doesn't work. After I try it multiple times, the screen still doesn't come back on. Also, when I try and call my # when it is doing this, my phone just goes to voicemail. I end up having to take the battery off just to get the screen to come back on. Any suggestions???

This is a problem with ActiveSync I believe. There are posts all over the forum about it, and a link somewhere to Palm's site on a "fix". Try searching for 'ActiveSync' in this forum.

I had this problem with 2 Treo 700's. My first one did it when it didn't come back alive after a charge. I unplugged the power cable and hit the red power button and blah - nothing. So I brought it back.

My second one did it almost every time I let it sit idle for more than an hour. So I called Verizon and their tech had me do a hard reset and it's been fine since.

I had this problem on my first 700w. Verizon replaced it. I have had it once on my replacement when it was sitting overnight (not on charger). I just did a soft reboot and it came alive.

Yes, the soft reset will fix it, as well as popping out the battery sometimes. Still a bit of a pain but since I did the hard reset, it hasn't failed once. Just be sure to sync before a hard reset
