Default Who can help me w/ this?

I installed Resco Explorer, but decided to uninstall it. However, it left the icons in the Programs folder (see below)

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these?

I ran into this when I uninstalled the software using active sync. Two things you can do:

1) Use your stylus, tap and hold the icon you want to remove and a window should pop up with an option to delete

2) Use the remove programs feature on your PHONE to remove the icons.

Thanks for the assist, but no score. I tried both of these and neither worked.

When I top/hold the icon, no menu comes up.

When I went into the Remove Programs, the programs are no there.

I even sifted through the registry to see if I could delete any remnants left behind from there, but there are no instances anywhere in the Reg file that relates to these 2 files. I thought for sure they'd be there, this has got me boggled. I'm about to do a hard reset and start over, but I hate to do that so soon in the game.

Anyone else got any suggestions?

You didnt mention if you had done a soft reset but I myself am about to do a hard reset due to problems with phonealarm. Good luck.

I had the same issue with two programs. Uninstalled, but the icons remained. A hard reset will get rid of the icon as well as a 3rd party program.

I purchased Pocket Mechanic and it did the job. Also helped clean up some memory issues.

In case you havent done a hard reset yet, try a program like sk tools or mem maid to clean up dead files and links. other people that I have chatted with say it should work.

Going to file manager, windows, programs, and deleting the link should remove the shortcut. once program is uninstalled, there is no harm done by deleting the shortcut. so disregard the warning message the treo gives you.
