why does my screen stay on when talking

I thought after a minute or two the screen was supposed to shut off when on the phone? When ever I'm on the phone not only does it not shut off but new screens pop up all the time like the alarm clock, settings, etc. How do I stop this??

you can disable the touchscreen during phone calls by going to Start >> Settings >> Keyguard >> "Disable touchscreen" and check the box that says "While on call in Today Screen"

This will at least prevent you from having a bunch of things opened while you're on the phone.
