Default Why does the same e-mails appear even after they are deleted?

I have a Treo 700w from Verizon Wireless. In addition, I have my e-mail accounts (AOL, Hotmail and Bellsouth.net) setup on my Treo so it can download e-mail messages every 15 minutes. Some of the messages I received are from Yahoo newsgroups which I am a member. The problem I am having is that when I delete some messages from the handheld delvice and to a send/receive the messages that I deleted reappear on the handheld device. So I would then login to the e-mail accounts from my desktop and the messages the I deleted from the handheld are either there or they have already been deleted. For example, I deleted a message from Mary (a memeber of one of my Yahoo newsgroups) that appeared on the Treo. When I do a send/receive the message would reappear. I would then login to my AOL account and the message from Mary is no longer in my Inbox.

The question I have is why is this happening and how can I resolve the issue. It's annoying to delete a message from the handheld device do a send/receive only to have the message come back. I am doing double work which is ineffiecient.

Thanks,

Vernon

it may be because when you delete on the handheld they are not deleted on the actual email server, therefore when you send receive again you get them again??????? It should not delete anything on your AOL account if you delete it on your handheld.

It makes not sense and it's very ineffecient to have to delete the e-mails form the handheld device and then turn around login to AOL and delete the message there. The problem is not happening for all e-mails to my AOL account. It occurs in about 5 e-mails that appear on the handheld device but does not appear in my AOL Inbox when I login to AOL. So the question is where are these deleted messages coming from.

I use Hotmail and the messages remain there even after deleted in the Handheld. I believe I even read this would be the case in the email setup paers that came with the TREO

Than seem to work. So the problem seems like the device was displaying all messages including the one that was deleted. Thanks for your help.
