Why isn't there a vibrate/ring feature on the 700wx like a regular cellphone? - Treo Forums

Anyone? This is a great feature, I can't believe you don't get this option on such a sophisticated phone!

Hi Mlinn
Vibrate when it rings? Receives txt? etc
The function is there - just depends how your settings are.
Start/Settings/Sounds & Notifications icon
Check you have a tic in Events and Programs on the Sounds tab
Then on the Nofications tab use the Event drop down box to select an event then you will see the check boxes where you can select when you want vibes to be on or off etc.

Thanks....but I was talking about the feature that will vibrate a couple times, and then ring, like you get on standard cell phones. Is there any aftermarket software that will add this function to the 700wx?

I went to www.pdaapps.com and could not find that software there. I couldn't find a place to download any software actually....The only thing I really see is the Verichat, and I don't even see a place to download that. Is there any other site that might have the Vibe/Ring application for the Treo 700wx?

You have to purchase MRING 4. The software allows you to assingn any format of music (MP3, WAV, MIDI, etc.) to your contacts and calls. In the option feature you can adjust all the features which happens to be a vibe/ ring. It also comes with 100 free ringtones.
