Windows Vista - Treo Forums

I am beta testing Microsoft Windows Vista. I like the operating system, but it is not compatible with Verizon's Wireless Sync. Does anyone else run this Operating System? Has anyone been able to make Verizon Wireless Sync work with or have found another software to do "Push Mail" on thier Treo 700w?

You can always use an Exchange Server for "push" email...it's not free, but the ability to sync my phone and Outlook wirelessly is enough for me to justify the price (about $85/yr). I personally use www.4smartphone.net

The 4smartphone.net does not work with my operateing system but thanks anyway for your reply. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate Beta 2.

what do you mean it doesn't work with your OS? it's a hosted Exchange Server solution....do you mean Outlook 2003 won't work on Vista?

Outlook 2003 works with Vista but to download and install the profile with Vista is not working.

Can't you manually set up Outlook? I think they have detailed instructions.

you're right, I was thinking of the manual Active Sync setup instructions....I would try emailing support, they may be able to walk you through the setup process.

I'm actually using XP...i haven't leaped into the Vista world yet
