    Default Using the new update

Anyone use the new update yet? How is it working? Worth updating or not?

I'm in it for three days now. Big performance increases and the updates to WM in 6 versus 5 are also a big improvement. I have yet to have any issues with 3rd party apps and will continue to work these until/if there are any issues...will report back.

Ok, I updated my wx to wm6. After it was all said and done (and after 40 minutes on the phone with tech support - wouldn't connect to wireless sync) it seems to be working fine.

The only problem I'm having is that I now have a little white triangle on my today screen that's telling me that I'm roaming...when I'm not.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes didn't notice it till I landed in San Jose. Since I have arrived in CA, no matter where I go it shows roaming and when I try to call it tells me I am roaming and that extra chargres may be incurred. Thought it was a Ca thing since I traveled from the southeast.

I'm with Verizon and I called them again and they told me to dial *228 and choose option #2. That updates the phone's roaming capabilities. I called and now the roaming icon is gone and no more "extra charges" messages. You may want to try something like that.

Second week in, no compatibility issues yet. Performance is clearly quicker and I suspect some sloppy code in WM5 has been replaced. IE browser becomes more functional with recognition of more content than WM5. HTML mail is nice and SMS permits >160 characters albeit sent in 160 character batches (250 characters = two messages). Other core programs have more functions, too many to list out in this reply. For me it was a welcome upgrade but at the cost of a hard reset.

As for the comments about roaming above, my WM6 upgrade had me *228 option 2 as a part of the install instructions. I wonder if this step was added in a few days after the initial release of WM6 for 700wx, I upgraded on 9/13...hmmm.
