    Default Yahoomail Question

Hey treo heads. Does anyone use Yahoomail on the 700wx? Do you need to upgrade to Yahoomail plus to actually be able to use the emailing features fully?

My situation-I'm on the Sprint SERO plan with the 700wx. I set up my Yahoomail account as a POP3. I can receive email but I cannot send.

Does anyone else use Yahoomail on their treo? And are you able to send Email messages? Any help would be appreciated!

If you cannot send: SMTP.MAIL.YAHOO.COM, your user name and password. Your message interested me though. You should not be able to access their email via an email application without paid access. I just set ChatterEmail up and tried it, receiving a failed log-in report. I used Yahoo mail extensively up until about a year ago.

    Question

Yes i've got smtp.mobile.yahoo.com or whatevr that was set up as my outgoing mail server...I don't know why I can't send emails or anything tho? I can receive just fine but can't send anything.

And btw what were you referring to about the paid service? Were you referring to my phone plan or to the yahoomail?

Man. I've been searching all over the place for a answer to this problem. I have alltel service. I can receive my emails but can't send them out. I downloaded FlexMail to my phone but i'm wondering do I need it. Right now my outgoing server is plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com. I've changed it to all types of stuff but still the same problem. This is nerve racking.

Oh no, im using the regular yahoomail, not yahoomail plus. I'm guesesing with yahoomail you can only use it to its full capabilities if you've got yahoomail plus. i guess i'll try using gmail on my treo or something. Maybe tehy dont charge you for sending email thru your pda?

Download a program called Yahoo!Go. It works wonderfully and without glitches. I have mine stored on my SD card (it shows up in your program files list, not on the internet in your favorites folder), and that does not affect it. I just checked it's functionality by sending an email from my Yahoo! account to my AOL account, and it was instant. I know that the download is free. It also includes the news, stocks, flicker, weather, mapquest and a couple more things. I forgot where I got it from, but it was directly from Yahoo!...just google Yahoo Go from your Treo, and you'll find it and install it directly to your phone. Your mail does not download automatically, and you will not be notified instantly about new mail either, but when you open the program, it updates itself from the last time that you accessed it. Hope this makes sense to and helps everyone, Jessica.

    Default Yahoo Go 3.0

It's a great service, but haven't figured out how to email pictures to friends and family. Any help would be appreciated.

That thread has the email addresses that correspond to another phone's phone number.
