Default 750 continuously synchs

My 750 continuously synchs when connected to my PC. I tried the settings in MS Active Synch but when I connect the 750 to the PC it immediately starts synchronizing and when it finishes it starts to synch all over again. It keeps looping, synching one after the other. It is frustrating because sometimes I just connect to charge the phone battery and don't want to synch. I tried setting MS AS by removing the check mark on the setting that says open ActiveSynch when my device connects. But it still just synchs as soon as I connect and keeps synching non stop.

How can I stop it from continuously synching one after the other when connected? Better yet how do I get it to synch manually so it doesn't do it automatically when I put the 750 in the cradle?

Update 04/24/2009

I tried taking Windows Media Player from the ActiveSync list and going through the WMP directly to Synch with my Treo from there. That seems to have worked. Also I dissabled Automatic Synch at the WMP options section under the Memory Card and Treo. Seems like my continuous synching problems have stopped. I hope.
