The keyboard itself may have been damaged in the same incident that cracked the screen, or worse, the main board for the phone itself. Even a hairline crack in a circuit board, or a component can mess up the whole thing. Before giving up on the phone intirely, do a complete hard or zero out reset of the thing and see if the keyboard comes back on, then it was a software glitch. Make sure to back up everything first.

on page 228 of the 750 user guide it says open the expansion card slot door if the scrfeen is off wake it up While pressing the power/end button use the tip of the stylus to gently press and hold the reset button. Continue pressing and holding both buttons until the "erase all data?" prompt appears press up on the 5 way button wait for the progress bar on the treo logo screen to fill up before continuing to use your treo. While its is optional its a good idea to synchronize before you do a hard reset and then when you get done you may or may not want to restore the previous synchronization or backup If you have had problems with 3rd party apps you probably should check the stability of the device before restoring tose 3rd party apps. Do them one at a time and wait maybe a day between reinstallations to check which program may have caused the problem. If you do a restore of all at once you will probably crash again and not know which program smacked you upside the head. You may want to read pages in chapter 13 in the user guide that apply to your situation. Good luck and keep us posted.

if the erase data screen did not appear you did not do it right. You have to hold the reset in and hold down the power and the palm powered screen comes on and then the erase data yes no prompt comes on and then you press the up part of the 5 way pad towards the screen and wait until the progress bar goes all the way to the right side of the screen. follow the prompts after that the screen will go blanl and then come back on.

since the treo worked fine until the screen was replaced, it would sound reasonable that the replacement process caused a problem with the keyboard. (and voided the warranty) The treo needs to be opened back up, and look for simple things like the ribbon cable not being fully inseerted, loose screws, chipped edges on the cards, connector not fully closed, ect. If the keyboard isnt working, pressing the power key for the hard reset becomes impossible.
