I have been reading this thread as I have a 650 at the moment, and I use a Mac syncing with Entourage perfectly. My contract is almost coming up and I am looking at either the 750w or the 680. The 680 sounds like the easiest option? as it will sync straight out of the box, right? but the 750, I am not sure about? and also, is the windows operating software on the device better than Palm's? and will it creative any probs for me and my mac? thanks to anyone who can help me through this process of choosing. thank you.

Well it depends on your perspective. The 680 will not have wifi capabilities while the 750 should have it. Windows mobile is a larger program and uses more memory than the PalmOS. I have had palm pda's and pocket pc's and my preference is for palm with its smaller memory needs but there are things I like about windows mobile and pocket pc phones. I am used to a touch screen and stylus but the trend with MS is away from touchscreens maybe as early as the next upgrade Crossbow but if not then probably the upgrade after that. My bigest beef with MS has been installion difficulties with Active Sync which is being changed in Vista etc. I have had problems getting it to install properly in each of the two devices I purchased ( a Casio E-200 cassopedia and then a Journada 567). I am not sure I want to go through thos problems again but I may be willing to try if and when the 750 is released depending on the price. I am also contemplating going ahead and getting a Samsung Blackjack with no touch screen. Its been hard to wean myself off paper planners and I anticipate if might be tough to leave the stylus as well but I can get a Blackjack for the same price after rebates as the 680 and its got 3G but no wifi. Hope this infor has been of some help. Keep us posted on your choice and observations. I will do the same.

hi there. so what do you think? for me, a Mac user who already just uses hotsync to sync a 650 with my Mac? 750V or the 680? I'm not bothered about the wifi capabilities really. But I wonder if the 750V's OS is much better than the Palm one? slicker? what do you think?

I don't know I liked the windows mobile except forethe seting up active sync never really had much problems except that. I dont know that you can call one better than the other some say WM is bloated like windows and it is a larger program but it worked well for me other than the pain of installation and getting it working right. I've has a few problems with the 650 but nothing major. If you can go try the 750 W when it comes out and see if you like it. If you dont I think they are expecting a palm os version like in late spring to late summer. In the meantime if your 650 is working just stick with that unless you find something else you like.
