750/Mac

Hi all, I have just upgraded my phone to a Treo 750 - having never had one before. I hoped I would be able to use it with my Mac but have been unable to.

Can anyone help, is this possible - or should I take it back to the store??

I am on Mac OS X 10.4.8
I bought Missing Sync from http://www.markspace.com/

You'll be able to use it with your Mac, but you'll need Missing Sync for Windows Mobile 2.5. Which version did you buy?

I am a Mac user (OSX 10.4.8). I am going to upgrade to either the TREO 680 or the TREO 750.
1. Will both work with my missing sync 5.1.2
2. What features will the 750 have the the 680 does not? speed....storage...quality.....etc...... (I do not care about the color of the phone)

The Palm Treo 680 supports Macs "out of the box". The 750 will require a third party software such as Missing Sync. Treo 750 will most likely feature HSDPA. Both share the same size. The major difference will again be the OS - Palm vs Windows Mobile PocketPC.

I just read on Boy Genius Report posted yesterday that cingular says sometime in Q4 which would be April at earlliest and will start out with UTMS with upgrade later to HSDPA so maybe instability has been cured. maybe maybe

According to Palm, the 750 will ship in Q3 of their financial quarter. My money is on second week of January.

So...if my 750 (I like the sound of that!) synchs and gets email etc...from my school's windows server using my Cingular data service, and my office desktop's Entourage synchs with the same server, why do I need Missing Synch to synch Entourage with 750.

I'm sure there's something I'm missing here..

It sounds illogical that you would need other software but computers have a mind of their own and sometimes they are psychotic you know!
