    Question 750v and other 750, 750p, 750w

I have just purchased a 750v, which I am very pleased with but I have simple question. Can I use books like "750 or 750p or 750w books for Dummies" or do I have to wait for a specific book on the 750v. Obviously I have the manuals that come with the 750v and the online instructions, but, being of senior years reading the "Dummies" books help my aged brain.

    Advice would be appreciated

I would think that most of the information in a 750 for Dummies style book would work with all flavors of 750

There is really only one version of the 750 at the moment. The 750v is from Vodafone and the 750 is from Cingular or unlocked, but they should be the same for the most part. Both are running Windows Mobile and will have most of the same software included. There is currently no 750p or 750w, but there is a 700p, 700w, and 700wx.

Thanks guys-----does the v on the 750 then mean it was supplied by Vodafone (which it was) and that a 750 with any letter after it means that the letter is only relative to the supplier??

Unfortunately that's not the case. Palm hasn't used an obvious convention with the letters added on to the model numbers. In the case of the 750v, I believe the v is because it's sold by Vodafone. In the case of the 700p, the p is because it runs Palm OS. In the case of the 700w, the w is because it runs Windows Mobile. The 700wx has a few enhancements over the 700w, with the most significant one being the amount of memory in it. The 700p and 700wx are available from Sprint and Verizon (therefore not directly tied to one carrier).
