Default Activesync Installation problem

I just purchased a new Treo 750 and I am having problem installing ActiveSync 4.5 from the CD. The error I am getting is "ActiveSync 4.5 encountered an error couldn't complete installation".

Is there something that I should disable that might be causing this installaton problem? Thanks!

I would suggest going to microsoft's website and downloading it from the web and then installing it if you encounter the same problem it may be a hardware issue. You could also check on the windows mobile site @ microsoft and check out possible solutions in the knowledge base aryticles there may be something of help there. Try the download first.

Ronnie, did it work? If not, are you logged in as admin? This could also be the culprit

It worked, now I am having problem with ActiveSync recognizing my Treo. I miss using the Palm desktop software where it was easy to import data into the Treo 550. ActiveSync seems very sensitive. Thanks!

I meant I have a Treo 650 not a 550.
