Adding Programs

I am very new to the Treo 750. In fact, I have never had anything but a Blackberry. I seem to be having problems adding programs to my Treo 750. Would somebody please explain to me step-by-step what I need to do in order to add a program? I don't know if I'm just not doing it right, or something's wrong with my program. Please help!

Welcome to ET punkangel30. what program(s) are you trying to add? Some programs you download by going on line with the treo and downloading it to the treo and opening it through ie mobile others are downloaded to the desktop and opened on the desktop and installed via active sync. If you are having difficulty the n you may be trying to install a program that is not compatible with the device. Programs must be wm5 240 x 240 square screen compatible or they wont work. Is the program a .cab file or .exe or zip file. The later go to the desktop and are opened and installed via the active sync connection. The device needs to be plugged in and I try to have the treo on the program screen as most programs when you install ask to check the device screen to see if additional steps are needed which is usually to check to install either to the device or the expansion card.
