Need Help Audio problem

Hi, I just bought an unlocked, Cingular branded 750 which I'm using with my Tmobile account. The issue that I have is: when I accept an incoming call I cannot be heard - I can hear everybody pretty clear but they can't hear me Any ideas...? One more thing: I'm running 1.13-CNG software version.. Where can I find a link to wm6 update? Thank U for any help..

Not sure about your audio problem. Sounds like it might be hardware.

As for the WM6 update, the unbraded install wizard is posted in another thread on this forum. Check your PMs as I just sent you links.

To clarify, is the sound dead ONLY on incoming calls? If they can hear you on outbound, then the mic is working.

Have you tried with the standard wired headset or with a bluetooth headset? If so, with what result?

See.. the thing is that I don't have this problem with every call - with most of them... Sometimes everything is just fine. But often I can't be heard during outgoing calls as well.. I tried my bluetooth headset and that worked well.

I'm sorry to say, but it sounds like a hardware issue. Possibly a loose or broken connection at the mic?

You can try an upgrade, but I'm not aware of any software issues that would cause an intermittent problem like this so I'm skeptical that it will make a difference.

If it was a recent purchase, I'd either look to get a replacement or refund from the seller. If that's not possible, then you'll most likely be looking at a repair, or using some form of headset for reliable sound input.

If you are still running wm5 and dont want to upgrade for whatever r4eason then you need the audio update patch at palm.com for the 750. That should clear up the audio issue or upgrade to wm6 and that patch is built in or its a non-issue at any rate.

As far as I know, the audio issue fixed by the patch had to do with too many devices trying to access the audio driver which ended up muting alerts and ringtones for incoming calls. I've not hear of that bug affecting sound input on phone calls.

Still, it's worth a try.
