    Default Battery Help

Just picked up my first Treo 2 day's ago I can''t seem to get more then 6 hours of cell time (talk, internet, standbye) with out the battery going dead As I am not familiar with with the Treo, is this normal? The model is a 750 Thanks By the way, after a sling of cell phones and two different BlackBerry's, this is the cat's meow for me

Are you using push email and/or bluetooth all the time if so thats a battery drain also are you in a umts area or edge umts will draw down the battery quicker. If you are at a desk during the day keep it on a charger Make sure any programs not in use are closed hold down the okay button and you will get a list of running programs those your not using close out. You could also get one of the extended batteries but the thickenness will mean you have to use the nckluded battery cover which will increase the thickness of the phone. You will get two to three times the ma's though. They have a 2100 ma and a 3300 ma battery.

Thanks JF It looks like I have ActiveSync and Messaging running The only time I use the BlueTooth is when I am in my car Should I turn BlueTooth off on the phone when I am not using?

I am going to have to purchase another Battery I think I will get one similar to the one I have as the others are a little bulky for me

I would leave everything on off when the phone rinds the messaging and phone will come on and AS will be on while you are connected. Another battery would be a good option. I think Seido has a 1300 ma battery which is the same size and the oem 100 and 1050 ma batteries. the 755 has a 1600 ma battery which I think is the same size as well but apparently wont work in the 750. Go figure.

Can you point me towards where I can get these extended batteries and other batteries that are compatible with the Treo 750?

    Thanks.

sure thing. check out the Everthing Treo store here on line they have the regular batery oem and non oem and extended baterries in three different ma ratings the largest two will bulk up the thickness of the treo but include a battery cover along with the batery. You could also try ebay

I just purchased a new battery (same one that I bought the Treo with) and one of those little battery chargers that plug into the power supply that came with the phone That way I always have one on charge while I am using the other A charger in the car is also a must I bought my stuff directly from Palm but I don't think it really matters I just didn't want to buy the extended battery and have it sticking out This works great for me and how I use it I hope that helps

The biggest battery I see is 2400mAh for the 750. I wish I could use that 3200mAh but it only works on the 700wx

Cool. As soon as the ET store is back online I'll try and find that one. I didn't seem to notice a 3300 one.

P.S. anyone know how to turn OFF the Lock feature? I accidentally clicked on Lock in the settings > personal folder and entered a number and now it won't stop automatically asking me for for it every 5 minutes and when I turn the phone on.
Also if you have keyguard enabled, as soon as the "Password, Owner" screen comes up it switches to the "Keyguard, press OK..." screen. Which will run down the battery pretty fast keeping the backlight on all day.
