Is there anyone aware of any SW or trick which can help to extend the battery life? At the moment I can use my Treo for no more than a couple of days. Things go worst if i use the "mute" option since the internal vibration seems to draw a lot of current.
I would recommend you get an extended battery, like from Seidio. It will definitely give you a longer battery life. I have mine going for 5 days without a charge, and I'm a pretty heavy user.

Surely you must go to sleep sometime. Why not plug it into the mains then for recharging. Even if you need the phone to be "ON" all the time, it will still recharge the battery while it is in the live mode.

Seidio has released a 1600ma battery which is the same size as the original so you get an extra 400ma in the same size battery without the bulge of the other extrended batteries. I work in my office when I am not in court during the week and keep my phone hooked up to the usb synch and charge cable so the only time Im not on power is when I am way from the office and not in my car or when Im not home as I charge off the computer even tho I dont sync. You situation may be different. Keep your used programs out of memory by holding down the okay button until the screen appears and close those programs out that runs down the battery and also hogs memory. the x does not close down programs like it does in regular windows unless you get a third party program that will do so.
