different providers have different names for that. "Phone as Modem" or "Tethered Mode", usually that is the most expensive form of Data Usage, check with your provider for details.

well im on verizon and i have un limited internet use and time...but again the thing is would the bluetooth dongle let my laptop hook to the treo then from there would i get intertnet?.....i put that dongle on the printer used the recognize bluetooth devices setting on the phone and now like i mentioned i can print pictures just perfect...so it just seem possible to get another dongle with a different address and as mentioned get the phone to recognize it and then just link the laptop to the phone and surf the net ...as im sure you can tell im not the smartest guy about phones but this seems like a feasible idea...has anyone else tried it?...thank you

If you get a program called "pdanet" it will let you use your phone as a modem. This way only cost you in airtime minutes. You can attach your phone via hot sync cable or try your dongle and see if you can get them to communicate that way. My Treop has built in blue tooth and it works fine.
