boy do i hate the 750 contacts!

There was something i loved about my 650 contacts, I could hit the option/search button at the same time and it would search the entire contact data base for something say "restaurant". Then it would list all the contacts that had "restaurant in the contact field wether it be in the custom fields, notes or contact name. Does the 750 have that
capability??? I don't think so.

Just start typing the name from the Today Screen

Mick that only searches the name.
Lets say i wanted to go out to eat and couldn't think of the name. I used to just type in restaurant and it would bring all the restaurants that i had listed in my 650. (sometimes i put notes in the custom fields and then i can search for a couple of different contacts)

Save the contact name with restaurant at the end. Then search for restaurant from the today screen.

On the 750 with WM6 and free Telenav maps from ATT when in the contacts highlight your "own contact" or a contact near whatever address you think you want to use. It will use this address as the default and search area.

Then press 'menu" then select "business search". It will ask you if your looking for food, gas, banks, etc.... Select food, then choose what kind, pizza, burger, indian, etc...

Sounds like a lot to do but takes seconds once your used to it and you have a list, map or even directions to where you are looking for.

On the Treo 750, you can still use the SEARCH feature.
Press the OPTION+SHIFT (the one with the magnifying glass), and it will bring up the search app. Just write RESTAURANT in the search for field and select CONTACTS in the type field. It should search not only the name field but also the other fields. HTH.
