broken treo. help! - Treo Forums

i deleted all my text messages and stopped all running programs and then did a soft reset like i always do and now my phone won't turn back on. the palm screen shows up and the status bar gets about 3/4 of the way across the screen and then the screen goes dark, you can still sort of see the palm screen, the bar finishes and then just hangs and the phone never reboots. what do i do??? has anyone had this problem?

would trying to reinstall wm6 help?

You could try that maybe your install did not complete. You could try and see. If that does not work get back with us.

i had been running wm6 for weeks with no problems. i couldn't connect to activesync to even try to reinstall windows. i resorted to a hard reset and am just hoping it doesn't happen again.

so the hard reset got it back to working correctly. I likewise hope that cures the issue. If not something is cuasing the problem probably third party software thats not acting well with the treo. Any software installed just prior to the problem starting?

no. nothing recent at all. right after i installed wm6 i installed windows live and google maps, but that's it. ...and that was weeks ago.
