Busy tone plays through back speaker

Hi all.

My 750 has been doing something strange the last months. It started one day and i'm not sure how or why.

When i make a call and the receiving end is busy, the busy tone plays though the back speaker. It also plays through the normal ear speaker but it's like it switches on handsfree for busy tones only!?

Apart from that everything else works fine.

Mine has done the same thing since I got it. When I flick the slient switch on the top of the phone, I don't hear a busy tone at all. It's really annoying. I suspect its just another "feature"!

I just noticed you're right about the switch on top. Once i set it to silent i don't hear a busy tone at all!
Have you taken the phone back to the dealer or contacted them about it?

I was in the (Vodafone UK) shop yesterday and I did mention it. The Girl behind the counter who also had a Treo said she hadn't noticed! She was going to speak to her techie team and let me know the outcome. I'm not holding my breath though!

i do have a treo 750 and haven't experienced such issues. I would suggest that you perform a soft reset. Maybe it will help... you may take out the battery or you may press the reset button. Open the miniSD card slot and the reset button should be there under the slot....
