button reassignment

hi - I'm new to Palm and my new 750 - just traded up from a Dopod 818 (not sure what this is in the States or elsewhere...)

so - the o/s seems slightly different from what I'm used to

I use email on my phone, out here in Singapore we use SMS more, so I want to know how to reassign the Left Action Key from Email, to say, Contacts.

Any ideas? The soft mapping options don't seem to cover this from the Today screen.

For some reason, they made the change from Messaging to Email as the 700w has Messaging as the Left soft menu. Here's a link to a fix that allows you to set up the left soft button for SMS. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

Sorry, but I haven't dabbled with reg editors. I'd suggest a new thread asking for Help With Reg Editors. I'm sure one of our members can provide assistance.
