Cannot connect to email

Hello all! I am really glad I found this place! I just recently inherited a 750 from my brother and love it. The one thing I haven't been able to do is get it to send or receive email. I have a data plan so no problems there. I can view web pages, but for some reason it just will not connect to my pop email. I have the server info right, as well as my username and password but still no connection.

I asked a gentleman at an ATT kiosk in the mall and he made some reference to the act that I had a "G" in a square which I shouldn't have yet offered no advice as to how to remedy this.

Well, there ya go and hope someone can help!
