can't send text messages

my wm6 treo 750 was working fine today.. until it wasn't. i sent a text to a friend, it worked fine, then almost immediately i sent another text to the same person and when i pushed send the text disappeared. it does not show up in the sent items folder either. i've tried several soft resets, i stopped all programs, deleted all my texts, nothing works. i can't send any text messages to anyone. any ideas? i'm guessing my only option is a hard reset.

That would be my suggestion. Hard reset and restore your last good backup.
