Default 'Centre' 5 way button issue

    Hi,

Wondering why ocassionaly my centre button on the 5 way navigational key doesn't work (Freezes although every other button works). Doesn't happen often, and a simple soft reset resolves. Any ideas why??

    Thanks
    Tain

not sure I know from otyher posts that you are still wm5 that may be a possibility or it may be interaction from third party software. Do you have any installed?

Just a backup program, but you are right, I am still WM5. Maybe WM6 will resolve the problem.

Sprite has never done that to me. What about low memory. Do you keep programs close after you exit remember the x does not close a program in wm only minimize.

    Hi,
I took all my 3rd party backup software off, but it still happens occassionally. It's no big deal as a soft reset works everytime. Just irritating when it happens at an important time when you need a number, or access to the calendar function quickly!

    Thanks anyway.

Whilst we are talking Backup, is it really worth having? I sync my Treo regularly, and the important things on there are really the calendar and contacts. I will get this back if all goes pete tong! (Although I do now have an extensive list of passwords in 'SecureNotes')

well I have used it and never really had to do a restore but I have had difficulties at times when a hard drive has gone down and if you had that and a device problem at the same time it would be good to have the data you need on the storage card. Better to have and not need than vice versa
