| I would love those numbers to be true.........
Here is what the Cingular Marketing Powerpoint read for the 680 (not sure what the price will be for the 750): Treo 680: $424.99 straight, $349.99 one year, $249.99 one year with unlimited data (and $100 rebate), $274.99 two year, $174.99 two year with unlimited data (and $100 rebate; their ad, however, shows a $200 list price, but it's good to know we can count on around two Benjamins. Expect it November 5th (tentative). taken from Engadget Mobile - 680 Price Info |

| The frustrating part of all of this for me...I know, who cares!! But I am preparing to relocate to an area that Sprint does not cover well and Cingular is my only option (yeah, it's that rural - East Huckleberry, if you will). I need to make the jump to Cingular, STAT, but can't bear the thought of downgrading my PDA to the 650! I just got my 700p after all...
I know I can exchange whatever I get NOW for up to thirty days, but that's really rolling the dice, don't you think? I wonder if the Cingular 750 will be out in the next thirty days...one would hope so. I am anxious to get some definitive answers before I make the leap into Cingular-land. My experience with Cingular has been WAY less than satisfactory over the years, but then again, I haven't been a customer of Cingular since the Cellular One days.

| I'm getting closer to rolling the dice... Excellent news on the FCC approval. I'll contact my Cingular pal and see what he has to say...if anything. I'll report back on what I find out.

My Cingular Rep also said that Next week the 680 will be released for $199 my price, and the FIRST WEEK of DECEMBER for the release of the 750. She mentioned something that their was a software glitch and that is why is has been pushed back until 1st week of December. |

The news about the 750 coming out in December I have not heard. Let me look into it.

Let me look into it. | It makes a lot of sense to get the phones out by Thanksgiving in time for the holiday rush. I would think Treo 750's in stores by "Black Friday" would mean quite a few sales. I wonder if the Treo 750 delay is causing the delay of the Treo 680. Pure speculation, but maybe Cingular wants a joint release offering customers two options and price points.

| Just spoke to someone at the Cingy store and still getting the same story about a release of sometime this month for both the 680 and the 750, but he did also say that that could also mean next month. He said with things like this they get there when they get there....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH thats not what I want to hear....I wish I could just forget about this phone for 2 weeks and then BAMMMMMM they are here! |
