Delay in picking up calls and answering
HiAll,
I just got a Treo 750, love it but I just noticed lately that there is delay in picking up the calls i.e. you can hear the phone ringing 3 times before I can see this happening on the treo and also when someone rings it takes a good couple of seconds before I can hear the other end. Any idea what might be the reason.?

it appears that its an intermittent issue with the 650s through the current iteration I have not experienced it yet with the 750.
-
I also have this problem : delay in ringing & time lag in hearing the other end after pick up the call. I have soft-reset several times, still no improvement. What happen ?? :frown:
-
maybe its something that will be addressed in upcoming promised update patch.

I've noticed the same thing. Just upgraded 2 weeks ago from a 650 to 750 (w/ Cingular). Annoying, as I notice it with almost every call.

well with the 750 you should check and see how many programs are active in the background the x does not close programs on WM5 so memory usage may be the culprit.

I dun know why I do not have such problem now!!?? before that I found all the time delayed in answering and ringing. Very strange !

it is a common problem in the 750 with WM5. The phone rings, you press "answer" and it takes a while before it actually gets the call. Also, when you pick up the call, it takes some seconds before the caller can hear you. Not the only problem of the 750. I wonder if these problems (more mentioned here) also take place in other PDAs....

As I said before I would suspect that you have a bunch of programs open in the background that are hogging memory resources and thats whats causing the delays.

ill check into it jfa thanks
