Distinctive SMS tones

Hello,

I am trying to locate some software that will allow me to set up distinctive ring tones for SMS messages. It would be even better if the program let me organize my text messages - like to sort them into baskets, etc. depending from where they come? But the distinctive ring tones is a must.

I tried Pro contacts but so far have not got it to work for me.

Any help appreciated.

To customize the sound, Start>Settings>Sounds&Notifications>notifications_ tab

set a sound for "Messaging: New Message"

If you're talking about a unique tone for each person texting you, it's not something native to the device. Only thing you can customize like that is ringtone.

Mring will let you select a distinct ring and SMS notification per person within your contact list. It will allow you to even put MP3s as either. I would recommend trying this.
